Those who follow my blog of my social media accounts already know that I left an abusive relationship or 11 years. I blogged bits and pieces of my journey (safety plan and escape) on my blog; Deanna’s Dark Diary. I really wasn’t able to disclose too much private information, as those situations can be dangerous.

Thankfully, that ordeal is behind me now. I am now divorced from my abuser, and am thriving. I was able to start over and establish a new life. It WAS NOT EASY!!! But I say that to encourage anyone out there who may think that it is impossible to leave a domestic violence situation/relationship. You can do it to. Please make a safety plan, and find someone you trust who can help you get out of that situation.
