Candid Chicana is the self-dubbed pseudonym and alter ego of Mexican-American blogger, Deanna Guadalupe Montalvo.  Deanna is a published co-author of The Anthology Boss Latinas (July,2022) compiled by The Empowerment Empire.

She is an entrepreneur, owner of an upscale lingerie boutique, La Loba Lingerie By Candid Chicana, crafter, hobbyist, lifelong learner, homeschool mother of 4 beautiful biracial children, and adoptive mamma to a German Shepard that was rescued at 5 years old.

She is a United States Navy Veteran, and supporter of our military, corrections, and police officers. She is passionate about many things including; girls and women empowerment, serving the homeless, the poor, and the working poor, and all disadvantaged communities, she fosters a love for Mother Earth and keeping our environment green and sustainable.

She is a survivor of domestic-violence abuse, and sexual-abuse violence. She advocates and fights for domestic violence awareness; for the victims, for the survivors, and for all of those persons still trapped in sex trafficking.

She enjoys learning to sew lingerie, watching YouTube, Ted Talks, documentaries, and movies.  She loves experiencing new foods and discovering new restaurants. She especially loves thrifting and shopping. She currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
